Description
At the foot of the old bridge in Noblat, the River Vienne reveals a superb course for fly-fishing enthusiasts. Lure fishing and natural bait fishing (waders recommended) are also equally enjoyable. Radiers and flat currents are home to a fine population of fario trout and grayling, the emblematic salmonids of this Limousin river. Accessible on most of both banks, the site is steeped in history. Between casts, take time to admire the 13th-century stone bridge and the old houses of the Noblat district. After fishing, enjoy picnic tables, a fitness trail and a stroll through the district before climbing up to the heart of the medieval town of Saint-Léonard de Noblat. For larger vehicles or campervans, park on the Place Saint-Martial.
