Description
In the heart of the rolling Limousin countryside, the Lac de barrage de Saint-Marc invites you to experience life-size fishing. Between Saint-Martin-Terressus, Le Châtenet en Dognon, Saint-Laurent-les-Églises and Les Billanges, this vast 130-hectare lake on the Taurion is renowned for its carnivorous and cyprinid populations. Pike, perch, pike-perch and impressive sheatfish attract thrill-seekers, while carp and roach delight those who prefer a more leisurely approach. Thanks to the boat launch, the lake is ideal for boat and float-tube fishing. Carp anglers can also take advantage of 3 dedicated night carp runs. Overlooking the waters, the superb Dognon bridge, a listed 20th-century heritage site, adds a unique touch to this wild setting. Three parking lots provide easy access to the site.
