LAVITRINE/lac&s, artist-run space, focuses its activities on supporting the presentation, production and mediation of works by artists whose research and creation are rooted in the present day.
A contemporary art space created in 2003 in Limoges by the lac&s artists' association, it offers an annual program of 5 to 6 exhibitions per year. LAVITRINE, with a floor space of 200 m2, is divided in two. The first room, with a large window opening onto the street, plays with the direct link to the passer-by, the walker. It asserts itself as a place of welcome and encounter. The second room, on the other side of a small courtyard that must be crossed, extends over 130m2 as an exhibition space.
