This fine example of 1920s architecture was built on the site of the garden of the former Convent of the Incarnate Word. This municipal project was commissioned by the Union Locale des Syndicats Ouvriers. It housed the unions' offices, their social works and cultural activities (theater, cinema, library, etc.). Today, the Saint-Junien town cinema boasts 2 comfortable, recently renovated auditoriums, one of which is rated Art & Essai.
