Haute-Vienne is crossed from north to south by the A20 freeway, which links Paris to Toulouse. It runs between Vierzon and Limoges. The A89 freeway is 1 hour’s drive south of Limoges, at Brive in Corrèze. The N145 links Bellac, in the north-west of the Haute-Vienne département, to Saint-Victor, near Montluçon, in the Allier département. The section between the A20 (La Croisière) and A714 (north of Montluçon) freeways is part of the Route Centre-Europe Atlantique (RCEA). Route nationale 147, or RN 147, is a French trunk road between Limoges and Poitiers. Between Bellac and Poitiers, this road is also European Route 62, part of the Route Centre-Europe Atlantique (RCEA).
