Espace Valadon is a museum dedicated entirely to the painter Suzanne Valadon, born in Bessines-sur-Gartempe. The museum invites visitors to discover the life and work of this internationally acclaimed figure of modern painting, as well as that of her son, Maurice Utrillo. Through explanatory texts, reproductions and copies of paintings, the tour clearly traces the artistic evolution and singular destiny of these two artists. The reconstruction of a painter?s studio completes the experience, offering a sensitive immersion in Suzanne Valadon?s creative universe, revealing all the originality and strength of her talent.
