In 1925, in the Alaskan village of Nome, lives Balto, half wolf ? half husky, rejected by the other dogs and suffering terribly from his condition. One day, a serious epidemic sweeps through the village. All roads are blocked by a violent blizzard. The only way to get medicine to the village is to send dogs to brave the storm. Balto finally gets the chance to prove his courage, adversity and loyalty.
