In the south of the Haute-Vienne, Limousin, 30 km south of Limoges, we organize wild basketry workshops throughout the year. Summer workshops are devoted to marsh plants, soft materials such as cattail, sedge and rush, and many others. During the workshops, we take a closer look at harvesting and working with bark.
In the mornings, we explore plants on short walks; in the afternoons, we weave in the workshop or in the garden to make small objects: baskets, nets, braids, 7-strand braids. These workshops are open to all, aged 16 and over.
Conducted since 2010 by Céline Locqueville, a landscape gardener with a diploma from the Versailles landscape school.
Nature is generous and offers us many treasures that we need to learn to recognize, harvest at the right time, dry and transform!
