Stage de teintures végétales solaires

The workshop takes place in the heart of the Limousin region, Haute-Vienne, 30 km south of Limoges. Vegetable dyeing on wool and fabric (cotton, linen) using a solar oven. Nature's treasures: plants from the garden, hedgerows and meadows: bark, leaves, flowers, roots, berries? Let's discover which plants are suitable for vegetable dyeing. Let's set up in the garden, or in the workshop, and prepare the different dye baths we use to dye wool, cotton, silk? Pre- and post-bath dyeing is done in an easy-to-make solar oven. The workshop combines discoveries in nature, the preparation of baths using plants that are easy to pick in our environment, moments of individual creation, and collective looks, in a convivial atmosphere.
