SOLAZ, trio jazzy en concert à l'Escalier

Solaz, from Soleil + Jazz. Soleil for music from the southern hemisphere and human warmth, Jazz for harmonic color and improvisation? Anne-Pascale Chabot on vocals, Pierre Nowak & Simon Pellegrin on guitars, all three frequent a third-party venue offering cultural events, including a jazz jam in which they regularly participate. There, they develop a friendly and musical complicity, reappropriating standards by popular artists, adding a special touch and a part of each trio member?s own identity. La Foule, Edith Piaff's big hit, takes on an Andalusian color with the association of a flamenco rhythm, while jazz expresses its blues color with Anne Pascale's suave phrasing.
