Page et Plume is delighted to welcome Antonin Varenne for a meeting on the occasion of the publication of his latest novel, "Les fils de l'aigle", published by Gallimard.
THE BOOK
Los Angeles, 1971: a journalist tells a policeman the story of two pacifists who have taken control of a cargo ship filled with napalm to deliver it to Cambodia. Their story of opposing destinies, escape and the threat of the death penalty raises questions about guilt in wartime. Les fils de l'aigle is a cinematically inspired historical adventure novel, based on one of the most unusual episodes of the Vietnam War.
THE AUTHOR
Antonin Varenne holds a master?s degree in political philosophy. First noticed in 2009 for his crime novel Fakirs (Viviane Hamy), he is the author of eleven novels, including Le mur, le Kabyle et le marin (Viviane Hamy), winner of the Quais du polar prize in 2012.
