Festival Mi/Mi - Spectacle La Cerisaie

As part of the Mi/Mi Festival. Aurélie Van Den Daele?s La Cerisaie is a sensory and collective reinvention of Chekhov?s masterpiece that explores the memory of place, the end of a world and the possibility of "making common cause" in a time of crisis. From the auditorium to the outdoors, on the move, it invites us to share the festivities and the things that bind us together. Featuring an intergenerational cast of actors, musicians, singers and magicians, the show explores the way in which a space - a theater, a house, a landscape - preserves the memory of the lives it has sheltered, and invents a collective ritual around loss, renewal and the memory of class. In this changing world, La Cerisaie becomes a sensitive mirror of our times: a farewell but also a promise of new beginnings!
