After more than a year's closure, the museum's attic is once again home to powerful works of art beneath the exposed 17th-century beams: almost 250 stones "interpreted" by Marie-Antoinette Bassieux, ex-religious and "poetess of the gaze".
Created in Dieulefit in the Drôme region in the 60s and 70s, the "speaking stones" are limestone fragments collected along roadsides, bearing images shaped by Nature, which the inspired artist simply reveals by enhancing them with a line of Indian ink.
