Exposition PAVEL MACEK

The Atelier du Pont des Arts hosts an exhibition devoted to the artist Pavel Macek. He arrived in France in 1976 with his wife, and spent almost 40 years in Limousin with his family. He deepened his practice of woodcut and lino engraving, begun as a self-taught artist in Prague. He uses the "lost wood" technique, and prints in several colors, generally in seven to nine copies. In 1986, he was awarded the Prix Jean Chièze for wood engraving in Paris.
