Exposition Marco Godinho

Marco Godinho was born in Portugal in 1978 and lives in Luxembourg. His work is marked by the experience of displacement and exile. He has developed a body of work linked to travel, and to passages between places and borders. For him, travel is not just a physical movement, but a way of living and thinking. He is interested in what it means to leave, to inhabit a place without being totally attached to it, and to construct his identity between several territories. Time is at the heart of his practice. His works are built up slowly, revealing fragile forms linked to memory and lived experience. The body plays an essential role, at once the tool, the measure and the material of the work. Through simple, poetic gestures, Marco Godinho acts and then disappears, leaving only traces of his passage.
