Gianni, in his fifties, lives with his mother in a vast Roman apartment and takes care of everything. Overwhelmed by debt and threatened with eviction, they receive an unexpected proposal from the building?s syndic: in exchange for clearing their unpaid bills, Gianni is to look after his mother over the August 15 weekend. But the situation gets complicated when other old ladies join the party.
