Corsican duo Fiuminale ? Two voices, one island
With more than forty years on stage and over 2000 concerts in France and abroad, Maxime Merlandi and Jean-Philippe Guissani embody the essence of Corsican song today. Their duo, Fiuminale, is the continuation of a rich career, notably with the Barbara Furtuna quartet, a major group they founded and which has contributed to the international renown of Corsican polyphony.
On stage, Fiuminale offer powerful, intimate singing in which two voices rise, respond and unite. Each recital becomes a moment of sharing, driven by a sensitive dialogue with the audience. The harmonies, the vibrancy of the voices and the sobriety of the musical gesture offer a profound experience: an inner journey as much as a collective bond, authentic and vibrant.
