"Le vivant qui se défend" is a feature-length documentary by Vincent Verzat, author of the youtube channel Partager c?est Sympa, which collaborated with Terre de Liens to distribute the 2024 report.
The film traces Vincent?s personal and sensitive journey, in search of a balance between his activism and his love of nature, between combat and contemplation. From the forest battles of the Millevaches plateau to the lair of a badger family, from the mega-basins of Poitou to the deer of the Vercors and the A69 freeway, the film makes the link between wild animals and the struggles being waged all over France against the destruction of their habitats. Le VIVANT qui se défend traces a path to living with dignity and facing up to what lies ahead, while instilling hope and the desire to act, on our own scale.
