Lecture by Jean Vigreux, professor of contemporary history and President of Arorm, as part of the exhibition Étrangers et soldats coloniaux dans l?armée française (Foreigners and colonial soldiers in the French army). Based on the book Des soldats noirs face au Reich, he retraces the racist massacres committed by the German army in 1940 against nearly three thousand colonial soldiers. He explores Nazi ideology, the desire for revenge linked to "black shame" and contempt for international law, as well as the fate of survivors sent to captivity.
