As part of the Artiste et savoir-faire production program run by the Frac-Artothèque in partnership with the Limoges Haute-Vienne Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Laureline Galliot was invited to design a work that would hybridize the know-how discovered in companies labeled Entreprises du Patrimoine Vivant in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region.
The artist?s proposal takes the form of an in situ installation, specially designed for the "balcony" space of the Frac-Artothèque.
It deploys the metaphor of a skeleton emerging from the surface of the skin. She brings into play a fictitious printing technique that would make it possible to print from inside the material. Textile elements, tarpaulin prints, 3D-printed shapes and mapping break down the layers in space.
