In the singular history of the Ferme de Villefavard in Limousin with music since the end of the 19th century, there is one emblematic instrument above all others: the Guarnerius del Gesù violin by Juliette Ebersolt (1889 ? 1983), initiator of the musical tradition at Villefavard. This exceptional violin, dated 1741, is the fruit of the famous dynasty of luthiers based in Cremona, Italy, considered, along with Stradivarius, to be the finest luthiers in modern history. It returns to the Ferme de Villefavard in Limousin for an exceptional day, kindly lent for the occasion by Mr. Giovanni Accornero. Accompanied by 3 students from the CNSMD de Paris, violinist and conductor Stéphanie-Marie Degand offers a didactic concert that allows everyone to discover the specificities of playing this ancient instrument.
