June 1944. Europe is torn apart by war, and the D-Day landings are on the horizon. Denis Porte dutifully goes about his daily work on a British military base... a dummy base. His mission: to move postitious soldiers every day, thus deceiving the enemy. In the Porte family, heroes die for France from father to son. So his mother wouldn't let Porte take the slightest risk. Looking after a dummy base was the most she would tolerate for her son. But after meeting Sami, an Algerian doctor who dreams of meeting De Gaulle, they decide during a drunken evening to take part. They set off bravely (and with a fair amount of grams in their blood). Except they don't have the right date or location. Add to this a hero who doesn't want to expose himself to danger. On D-Day, well, almost?
