In keeping with the Printemps des Poètes theme of "Freedom. Force vive, déployée", ARCM (Association de Regroupement des Cultures Musicales) invites you to a poetic afternoon focusing on the Arab world, with the screening of a film about Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwich, poetry readings and songs to help you learn more about Eastern and North African poetry.
From the Middle East to North Africa, poets enjoy immense popularity. Come and listen to the voices of women such as Al-Khansâ', May Ziadah and Ghada Samman.
Members of ARCM will present a documentary film on the poet Mahmoud Darwich, then read emblematic texts by these women poets, accompanied on the oud. The Aswatna choir will close the event.
