3rd chestnut hike. Two loops of 10.3 and 13.1km, along the pretty kaolin path, accessible to all, will enable hikers of all ages to discover the work of a chestnut grower and the tools he uses to gather the chestnuts. A 4km guided walk through the chestnut grove.
After a refreshment stop at home, everyone will be able to taste this delicious fruit in a "boursée" or roasted form, washed down with a glass of apple juice or other beverage.
Back at the chestnut village, after a vin d'honneur offered by the municipality, walkers will be able to eat and taste chestnuts in all their forms.
Exhibitors will be selling chestnut products, and craftsmen will be presenting different uses of the chestnut tree. Children and adults alike will be able to build nesting boxes, and everyone will be able to admire the "cabane du feuillardier".
