Les Léon’Arts in Saint-Léonard de Noblat

In the medieval town of Saint-Léonard de Noblat, we like to put arts and crafts in the spotlight. Every year in summer and at Christmas, craft professionals set up a temporary store to promote the skills of the Limousin during the “Léon’Arts” fair.

Saint-Léonard de Noblat, a land of expertise

The town of Saint-Léonard de Noblat has been awarded the “Ville et Métiers d’Art” label, and is home to a large number of craftsmen who perpetuate ancestral know-how. The arts of fire vibrate here, paper is handmade and tanning is vegetable-based.

While paper pulp is being kneaded at Moulin du Got, kaolin is being metamorphosed in the workshops of Porcelaines Carpenet, clay is being twirled by Marie-France, leather is being transformed by the effects of tan and time… and so goes the ballet, both artistic and technical, of our artisans!

Let yourself be guided!

For lovers of the arts and crafts, there’s now a route that takes you to all the art and craft stores in downtown Saint-Léonard de Noblat. Follow the arrows and marvel!

Léon’Arts

The town of Saint-Léonard de Noblat supports these goldsmiths of Limousin know-how by organizing the “Léon’Arts, Vitrines des métiers d’art “.

The ” Léon’Arts, Vitrines des métiers d’art” is a large-scale exhibition and sale of crafts from Saint-Léonard de Noblat and the surrounding region, held each year in summer and at Christmas.

Another event to keep in your diary is the “Léon’Arts, Rencontres des Métiers d’art”. Every July 14th, this festive day of craftsmanship celebrates the exceptional skills of our artisans.

You'll fall in love with the craftsmen of Limousin.

Arts and crafts cover an extremely wide range of sectors, which you’re sure to enjoy discovering! From ceramics and glass to wood, cardboard, leather and enamels, not forgetting noble paper-making using traditional techniques and equipment…

Come and meet them, and let yourself be tempted by the fruits of their know-how:
