What is a bed and breakfast?

B&Bs are furnished rooms in the home of a local resident, intended for tourists for one or more nights, with services included. As a minimum, bed and breakfast services must include breakfast and linen(article L.324-3 and D.324-13 of the French Tourism Code).

B&B activity is limited to a maximum number of 5 rooms and 15 people. Beyond that, the regulations for Establishments Receiving the Public (ERP) apply.
