The Know-How Breakfast brought together the region’s driving forces – businesses, craftspeople, tourist offices, journalists and institutional partners – for a warm discussion on the results of Know-How Week in Haute-Vienne.

A look back at a successful 2025

Promoting know-how

What exactly is Know-How Week?

From 22 to 28 October 2025, the “Ici nos savoir-faire” event invited local businesses, craftsmen and producers to open their doors to the public. It’s an opportunity to delve into their worlds, discover fascinating trades and highlight local expertise that is often little-known.

A professional… and friendly event!

Organised on 23 February by the LIMOUSIN New Horizons Tourism Collective, in partnership with the Limoges and Haute-Vienne Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the aim of the Breakfast Review was simple: to bring together tourism and economic players to share the results of the operation.

Over coffee and pastries, participants discovered the key figures, exchanged their impressions and shared their experiences in a relaxed atmosphere conducive to meetings and new ideas.

22 professionals involved

22 professionals took part in the event, representing the wealth of the local ecosystem: businesses, artisans, tourist offices, journalists and institutional partners.

This diversity provided an opportunity to compare notes on the tourism and economic impact of the Semaine des savoir-faire, and also to work together to identify ways of improving the event so that it can go even further in future years.

First place in the region

Very encouraging results for 2025

The results of the 2025 edition of “Ici nos savoir-faire”, initiated by the Comité Régional du Tourisme and the Région Nouvelle-Aquitaine, coordinated by the Collectif tourisme LIMOUSIN nouveaux horizons and supported by the CCI Limoges Haute-Vienne and the Chambre de Métiers et de l’Artisanat, highlighted some very encouraging results:

  • 37 companies in Haute-Vienne were involved, including 7 with the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (Living Heritage Company) label
  • 934 visitors welcomed
  • an excellent satisfaction rate
  • and a strong desire among businesses to repeat the experience!

With these extremely positive results, Haute-Vienne has taken first place in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, both in terms of the number of companies involved and visitor satisfaction.

It’s a fine reward for the efforts of our partners, the involvement of our businesses and, above all, proof of the public’s enthusiasm for authentic, local and intergenerational experiences.

A strong asset for the LIMOUSIN new horizons destination

Beyond the figures, this Breakfast was a reminder of the extent to which promoting expertise is a real strategic lever for the “LIMOUSIN nouveaux horizons” destination brand.

By strengthening the links between economic discovery tourism, craftspeople, producers and tourism players, the event is helping to structure a unique and differentiating experiential offering for the Haute-Vienne.

What happens next?

This exchange of ideas is part of an annual initiative that involves professionals in the major stages of promoting their skills and expertise: providing support for company visits, sharing best practice and preparing for future events.

The lessons learnt will feed into the next edition of “Ici nos savoir-faire”, scheduled for 21-27 October 2026, so that we can continue to make know-how a real marker of the region’s attractiveness and pride.
