Since May 1, professionals with the “Qualité Tourisme” label can, if they wish, switch to the new “Destination d’excellence” scheme (they will only have to be assessed on the eco-responsibility pillar).
The new Destination d’Excellence label aims to reinforce quality in all aspects of the tourism offering. It focuses on eco-responsibility and accessibility for the disabled.
Eco-responsible criteria include sustainable mobility, digital and energy sobriety, water consumption and waste management. The label is valid for 5 years, and is obtained via a network of partners and accredited assessors. An audit support system has been set up.
Qualité tourisme” is due to be phased out completely by December 31, 2026. The “Qualité Tourisme” mark will not be awarded again after August 31, 2024.
