The Tourist Tax was introduced in the ELAN Community of Communes on January 1, 2022, and applies to the following 23 communes:
Ambazac, Bersac-sur-Rivalier, Bessines-sur-Gartempe, Breuilaufa, Chamboret, Compreignac, Folles, Fromental, Jabreilles-les-Bordes, La Jonchère-Saint-Maurice, Laurière, Le Buis, Les Billanges, Nantiat, Nieul, Saint-Jouvent, Saint-Laurent-les-Églises, Saint-Léger-la-Montagne, Saint-Priest-Taurion, Saint-Sulpice-Laurière, Saint-Sylvestre, Thouron, Vaulry.
In the commune of Razès, the tourist tax has not been transferred to the ELAN community of communes. Its rates and the way it is collected from tourist accommodation providers will therefore be different. Please contact the Razès town hall for further information.
The purpose of the taxe de séjour is to ensure that local taxpayers do not bear the full cost of tourism.
Revenues from the taxe de séjour are allocated in their entirety to the promotion of tourism by the local authority collecting the tax (Article L. 2333-27 of the CGCT).
