At a glance

1. WHITE GOLD from Limousin

Limoges porcelain

When you think of Limoges or Limousin, you inevitably think of porcelain.

Porcelaine Bernadaud, Raynaud, Coquet… and many other creative craftsmen can be found in our region.

Here are a few ideas: white and decorated crockery, unique collectors’ items, litographs, pocket trays, thimbles, etc.

2. The SPORTS gift

CSP Limoges

CSP Limoges became a legend in the French basketball elite when they became European champions in 1993.

How can you not have a T-shirt in the CSP colours?

And why not offer tickets to attend a match at the Beaublanc stadium in Limoges.

3. The ELEGANT gift

Leather from Saint-Junien

The Agnelle glove factory , Daguet-Maroquinerie and the factory outlets are full of leather gift ideas: belts, accessories, mobile phone covers, gloves, etc. Also in Saint-Junien, don’t miss the “Cité du cuir”, a museum dedicated to leather craftsmanship, which also has a very attractive gift shop!

Further from Saint-Junien, in Ambazac, you’ll find the unique creations of Cuir Antiope.

4. THE JEWEL to savour.

The madeleine of Saint-Yrieix

These small, golden, pot-bellied cakes are shaped like scallops. A journeyman confectioner popularised them at Saint-Yrieix in the mid-19th century.

“La Maison Bijou” gradually established the reputation of Arie’s expertise in this field throughout Limousin and beyond.

The traditional madeleine from Saint-Yrieix is made from quality ingredients (flour, butter, sugar, eggs). Preservative-free, they are incomparably moist and have a bitter almond flavour.

Don’t hesitate to visit the factory outlet and discover all the flavours (plain, chocolate, jam-based, etc.).

Plus: we invite you to discover our madeleine makers, who make our tasty madeleines by hand!

5. LE MASSEPAIN to crunch

Mialétous delicacies

A speciality of Saint-Léonard-de-Noblat, this little biscuit is made from almonds, sugar and egg whites.

It’s interesting to learn that marzipan was introduced to Saint-Léonard-de-Noblat by a pilgrim from Santiago de Compostela.

It seems that this pilgrim ate almond-based biscuits to give himself energy.

Camille Petitjean then tasted these biscuits and took over the recipe. It’s a wonderful story of culinary transmission!

6. The CRAFT gift

at the Cité du Cuir

The Cité du Cuir boutique showcases the skills and craftsmanship of leatherworkers, as well as many other arts and crafts.Open to the public and independent of the museum tour, this 100 m² space is a real showcase for the craftspeople of New Aquitaine.

You’ll find a wide range of creations, including decorative items, candles, stationery, books, souvenirs, fashion accessories and creative hobby materials.

8. The DECO GIFT

Chestnut

Chestnut is a noble wood, renowned for its durability and strength.

It is known to be rot-proof, making it the material of choice for wickerwork.

Chestnut objects have survived the decades and continue to decorate our homes.

From harvesting in the coppices of the Limousin region to steaming the wattles and braiding the strips, each stage of production is carried out with care in the workshop of VANNERIE DOUMAIN ARTISAN DU CHATAIGNIER, a traditional craftsman.
