From the bridge, you can enjoy the iconic banks of the Vienne, or reach the city on foot.
2. The fortified gate
If you’re going to visit Le Dorat, which has been awarded the “Petite Cité de Caractère” label, you won’t want to miss this gateway known as the Porte Bergère.
As well as being historic, as it’s the only fortified gate to have survived among the town’s 4 in the Middle Ages, it’s really quite pretty 🌺

The square is full of charm and bears witness to the past, when monthly fairs were held, notably under the covered market, listed as a Monument Historique.
Full of charm and character, you’ll have no trouble getting a good photo of the place 😉
4. Rocky chaos

Everything looks so beautiful, you’ll have no trouble taking pretty pictures.

The Moulin de Brice, which offers a breathtaking view of the site and the river.
The 3 bridges near the Gué-Giraud dam, an incredible spot for photo enthusiasts!


5. A breathtaking view
on Lake Saint-PardouxWe’ll never tire of this view, will we? 🤩
This place, well hidden at first glance, is nevertheless easy to find!
How do you get there? Head for Santrop beach, at the end of the RV park.
A moment out of time awaits you there, where you can admire a sunset over the lake! Pretty cool, isn’t it?
6. Gain height
on La Tour du Plô in Saint-Yrieix-La-PercheWould you like to have an unobstructed view of the whole city?
Take a stroll up the 24-meter-high Tour du Plô, the city’s oldest civil monument, and succumb to the 360° view it affords!


7. Nature views
In the heart of the Monts d'AmbazacOne of the most iconic viewpoints: La Pierre Branlante! The panorama of the surrounding countryside is simply incredible. It’s the perfect moment to refocus on yourself!
As you can imagine, relaxation and calm are the order of the day here.

Head for the Pont de Noblat, also known as the Vieux Pont, which is listed as a Monument Historique!

9. A vacation landscape

Walk on this small pontoon and let yourself be carried away by the beauty of the lake and all that surrounds it!
Keep your eyes open, there’s plenty more to photograph, like the island of Vassivière, which we recommend you visit, but we won’t tell you more about it!😉
10. In the forest
