Half-timbered houses behind, the Vienne River below, this stone bridge built in the 13th century is ideal for capturing a souvenir of Limoges.
From the bridge, you can enjoy the iconic banks of the Vienne, or reach the city on foot.
2. The fortified gate
If you’re going to visit Le Dorat, which has been awarded the “Petite Cité de Caractère” label, you won’t want to miss this gateway known as the Porte Bergère.
As well as being historic, as it’s the only fortified gate to have survived among the town’s 4 in the Middle Ages, it’s really quite pretty 🌺

How do you get there? Head for Santrop beach, at the end of the RV park.
