XTERRA is a worldwide series of multi-sport endurance racing events, primarily focused on triathlon 🏃🏻

Participants take part in an event combining swimming, mountain biking and trail running 👟

The difference? Here the emphasis is on wilderness, rugged terrain and varied courses.

As with classic triathlon, competitions come in several formats (XS, S, M, L) depending on the distances to be covered in each discipline.

The Lac de Vassivière offers an ideal and unique setting for this event. Lovers of adventure will find this little paradise a veritable playground 💚 of unspoilt nature!

The different formats :

XTERRA Full: 1.5 km swim – 39 km mountain bike – 11 km trail run

XTERRA Sprint: 500m swim – 13km mountain bike – 5.4km trail run

XTERRA Super Sprint: 250m swim – 4.5km mountain bike – 2.7km trail run

The XTERRA Kids a race for 6-9 year olds or 10-13 year olds

The 2-day program

Join us on Friday at 2pm for bib collection, course reconnaissance, press conference, athlete presentation and a pasta party.

Saturday: 10am for the sprint, 10.30am for the super sprint and 11.45am for the podium and these 2 races. The day continues with the kids race at 12pm, the full race at 1:30pm and the podium at 8pm. In the evening After Race.

On Sunday, 8am start of the 40km trail from Vassivière island, 9.30am start of the 20km trail from Auphelle beach, finishing at 10.30am start of the 10km trail from Auphelle beach. At 2 p.m., we meet for the Awards ceremony.

Immerse yourself in the intensity of the 27th edition by challenging the Lac de Vassivière through a series of key events:

Tour du Lac de Vassivière: 23 km 400 run
Nordic Walking: 26 km
Trail running: 9.5 km
Other events, such as the 9 km Nordic discovery walk and children’s races of 800 or 1600 m.

Stand-Up-Paddle and kayak, 4 or 10 hours, the choice is yours.

An event like no other!

In teams, relays or solo, each at his or her own pace.

The principle? Complete as many laps as possible over the course of the event, on a 6 km loop.
