An unforgettable experience!

For the 16th time and 7 years after its last appearance, Limoges dons its yellow jersey to welcome the finish of the 8th stage of the Tour de France.

After a 201km ride from Libourne, the riders will set down their bikes in our beautiful city of Limoges for a well-deserved rest! 🚴🏼

The next day, the race starts at Saint-Léonard de Noblat, heading for Clermont-Ferrand for a mountain-style race.

Limoges gets ready

After criss-crossing our beautiful department, the cyclists will stop off in Limoges, along the Vienne river, to arrive at Place Jourdan.

Limoges residents are invited to support the cyclists by decorating their balconies, windows, terraces, etc. in the colors of the Tour.

Don’t miss the town hall, which will proudly wear all the Tour jerseys, including the famous yellow one!

If you’re planning to come and stay in Limoges a few days before the finish, you’ll find plenty of practical information on placemats, such as a traffic and parking map and a QR Code for keeping up to date with the Tour in real time.

Experience the finish of the Tour

Shiver live at the heart of the Tour’s arrival in the city of Limoges, which has been awarded the Ville à vélo and Ville active et sportive labels.

On July 8, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., a festive village will be held on Place de la République, promising a spectacular and exceptional finish ✨

On July 8 and 9, Poulidor’s hometown will be buzzing with anticipation for the start of stage 9 of the 2023 Tour de France.

Poulidor, the eternal Tour de France hero

Our national Poupou, a true icon of French cycling, all the more so in our beautiful département 😉

A hero of the Limousin, born on April 15, 1936, Raymond Poulidor became famous as an eternal Tour de France runner-up.

In fact, he finished second three times and third five times without ever winning the yellow jersey so coveted by our cyclists!

An emblematic venue for cycling enthusiasts, it is equipped with a wooden track and hosts numerous regional, national and international track cycling competitions.

For amateurs, the velodrome offers the chance to perfect your skills through training courses, introductory sessions and advanced courses.
