Swimrun is an outdoor discipline where humility, perseverance, cohesion and mutual support are essential values.

This sport alternates sections of running in the open countryside with swimming in open water. It is usually practised in pairs: swim 🏊 , run 🏃‍♂️ and start again, without transition.

Vassivière is distinguished by dense, atypical courses, between sky, land and water and above all from island to island as in the origins of this sport.

Immerse yourself in this unique human and sporting experience, where you become one with nature!

This incredible adventure is open to everyone, with different formats: the SPRINT, the CLASSIC, the HALF and the KIDS (on Saturday).

It’s up to you to take up the challenge, with friends, as a couple or as a family, and become real “Finishers”!

The programme

Start of races: Île de Vassivière

Saturday 20 June:
KIDS races with 3 formats from 700 metres to 2600 metres depending on the age of the children (6-15 years).

NIGHT or NIGHT & DAY: 3.20km swim / 10 km run – Time of effort: 1h30 to 2h30

Sunday 21 June:
Four swimrun courses, in the heart of the Regional Nature Park Millevaches en Limousin:

SPRINT*: 13.65km i.e. 2.50km swim / 11.15km run – Time: 1h00 to 3h30
CLASSIC*: 23.20km or 4.30km swim / 18.90km run – Time: 2h15 to 5h00
HALF: 37.50km or 6.90km swim / 30.60km run – Time: 4h to 7h10
EXPERIENCE: 8.3km or 1.6km swin / 6.70km run – Effort time: 45 min to 1h30

* can be done solo

Swimrun is an outdoor discipline where humility and perseverance are essential values. Faced with the natural elements of rough waters, you’ll need a great deal of determination and fearlessness to get through our trials.

But you won’t be alone in embarking on this incredible adventure. Your friends, family and nearest and dearest will be there to support you, and thousands of other swimrunners from all over France and Europe will be at your side to take up the challenge of becoming real ‘Finishers’.
