Every year in July, the Bandas Festival takes over Bessines-sur-Gartempe for 4 days. It’s THE festival of the Haute-Vienne. There’s plenty of entertainment on offer, and you can let yourself be carried away by the melodies of the bandas and other folk orchestras 🎺 🥁

What are the Bandafolie’s?

Since 1997, the Bandafolie’s have been a summer highlight in the Haute-Vienne. For several days, original local and international groups gather in Bessines-sur-Gartempe, bringing the village alive with music and entertainment. The Bandafolie’s festival attracts around 40,000 people over a long weekend to celebrate in a friendly atmosphere.

On the programme? food-trucks, bodegas, DJs, shows, a commemorative parade, fireworks, a fun run and lots more. From morning till night, come and experience the festive atmosphere of the Limousin 🎉

The programme

This is prepared throughout the year by the Bandafolie’s organisation, which each year offers a wide range of entertainment for young and old! The programme is kept secret and is released by the team a few weeks before the event!

The Bandafoulées

During these 4 to 5 days of festivities, the revellers take part in an 8-kilometre run: the BANDAFOULÉES before starting the hostilities. This race, which takes place on the Friday evening, is organised in collaboration between the Bandafolie’s team and the Limoges Mad-Run Club.
