Natura 2000 site. Protected wetland.
Peat bogs are highly specific natural environments in terms of their flora. Located at high altitude, they occupy the bottom of vast depressions or alveoli. The bottom of the alveolus shelters a peaty zone characterized by several typical peatland species: drosera (carnivorous plant), cottongrass, sphagnum moss, "four-cornered" heather, etc.
