Head for the banks of the Gorre at the Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix sanctuary, 200m from the village of St-Auvent.

Along the way, you’ll discover many points of interest, including a grotto reminiscent of the one in Lourdes, the Oratory on the hill, the Notre Dame de la Paix chapel, the pilgrims’ shelter, and various statues of Saint Bernadette…

Are you ready to discover the natural and architectural heritage of Nexon, a stopover town on the Richard the Lionheart Route?

Étang de la Lande, Nexon castle park, Le Pôle cirque, jardin des sens… this 10 km hike will take you through some superb scenery.

Bring a beach towel to rest on the sandy beach beside the pond, and don’t forget to bring a picnic to enjoy the surroundings!

Sentier du Père Castor

If you like to discover the natural heritage, this 8.3 km hike will take you through the Limousin bocage and forest, as well as the architectural heritage of the fortified Romanesque church.

You’ll come across a number of ponds, including the La Roche lake, where you can take a swim, and the Forgeneuve lake, where you can go water-skiing if you like.

Get ready to head for Viaduc de Rocherolles to start a hike along the banks of the Gartempe; ideal for cooling off, believe us 😉

Along a waterway, you can enjoy the calm and shade provided by the trees!

So if you’ve never been to the Négremont rocks, now’s the perfect time!

The torrential course of the Vienne creates some lovely waterfalls, and this site offers some very pleasant scenery as you walk along the valley, dotted with oak, birch and beech trees.

This short hike of just 1.8 km will allow you to enjoy yourself while stopping for a snack!
