This route offers magnificent views and takes you along paths to the edge of theÉtang de Sagnat, classified as a ZNIEFF (Zone naturelle d’intérêt écologique, faunistique et floristique) 🌸.

You’ll find a tree circuit with interpretation panels and a booklet available from the Tourist Office 👀.

In summer, enjoy a refreshing swim 🏊🏻‍♀️.

You’ll cross the forest and follow the peaceful course of the Barrot stream, discovering along the way typical villages and their rich built heritage, lined with low dry-stone walls 🤩.

Les Rochers de Négremont

Discover the splendid Négremont rocks on an immersive hike in this preserved natural site 🌿.

Nestled in an incised area along the Vienne River, these impressive granite boulders sculpted by erosion offer a unique spectacle 👀.

You’ll start with a first waterfall marking the entrance to the site before discovering small cascades and rapids along the valley, lined with oak, birch and beech trees 💦.

Listed under the 1930 law for the protection of natural monuments, this landscape is also home to the dog’s tooth erythrone, a protected mauve flower not to be picked, visible in spring 🌸.

This hike invites you to explore a magnificent forest massif offering many breathtaking viewpoints.

The sunken paths, winding through coppices of chestnut trees, are largely shaded, making the hike pleasant even in hot weather 🌞.

In Saint-Nicolas-Courbefy, discover a surprising architectural heritage with a charming little chapel and a house dating back to 1832.

This hilly route may be sporty for some, but it rewards you with natural diversity, old mills, and sunken lanes.
