Ideal for anyone who wants to leave Limoges without actually leaving! This 15km loop route (1h on a mountain bike) starts in Landouge, near the church, and offers by turns a rural and urban atmosphere 🚴

  • Aurence Valley: you cycle along this peaceful river, lined with meadows, bridges and footbridges, several times – a treat for rejuvenation.
  • Parc du Mas Jambost: this park on the outskirts of the town marks the middle of the loop. Its shady paths and grassy areas make for a lovely nature break.
  • Forêt des Vaseix: the final section takes you into the forest, in a wooded setting where undergrowth and clearings blend together – a real breath of green air just a stone’s throw from Limoges 🌲

This easy 9km circuit, a loop starting from Beaune-les-Mines (Limoges’ northern gateway), takes you on a tour of the small local heritage, a hundred-year-old lime tree and, above all, one of the town’s four drinking water reservoirs, Lac de la Mazelle.

This 8km loop route takes in the green corridor of Moulin Pinard park and runs alongside Uzurat lake, with a natural panorama just a stone’s throw from the hyper-centre.

📍 Key stages of the route:

  • Parc du Moulin Pinard: a real haven of peace laid out on the banks of the river (Aurence), this landscaped park captivates with its winding paths, small bridges and flower beds (rhododendrons, azaleas…)🌺
  • Tour of the Uzurat lake: ideal loop to enjoy a view of the lake, enhanced by relaxation areas, children’s play areas and a viewpoint over the forest .

4. Limoges - Lac de Saint-Pardoux cycle route

Ready for a great 28-kilometre escape? 😎It’s very simple, just grab your bike and take the cycle route, heading for the lake of Saint-Pardoux with the prospect of a superb weekend just a few pedal strokes away!

  • Starting from Limoges: following a signposted route from the northern exit, you gradually leave the city for the verdant countryside via Chaptelat and Compreignac, passing through farmland and forests winding around the Monts d’Ambazac 🚵‍♂️
  • Authentic Limousin countryside: Alternating country lanes, quiet back roads and wooded areas around Compreignac, in the heart of the Monts d’Ambazac Natura 2000 zoning
