The unexpected architecture of the noble houses of the 15th and 16th century, huddled around the ruins of the old castle, testifies to the splendor of the past. It crosses the part of the Auvézère valley classified as a Natural Zone of Ecological, Faunistic and Floristic Interest. Its course illustrates the characteristics of the Limousin, a country of greenery with a very rich flora, of hardwoods with multiple species and a thousand springs. It runs alongside two rivers, numerous streams and five mills which have now ceased to operate.
