Description
The Chemin des Carriers is a pleasant 9.2 km hike starting from Saint-Sylvestre, accessible to all. The trail takes you on a discovery tour of the local heritage, including forest paths, typical villages and old wash-houses. You can discover the granite quarry educational trail, lined with explanatory panels recounting the work of the quarrymen who shaped the region?s history. You can also see the remains of granite quarrying, including vintage rails and wagons. An ideal nature and cultural walk to discover the landscapes and history of the Monts du Limousin.
