This FFC-approved tour takes you to discover the jewels of the Pays du Haut Limousin. From Bellac, you'll follow the Gartempe valley to its confluence with the Brame, marked by the Saut de la Brame waterfalls. From there, it's back down to Le Dorat, former capital of the Basse Marche, with its imposing collegiate church, then on to pretty villages surrounded by hedged farmland before descending to Saint Pardoux and its lake, the second largest in Haute-Vienne. The rest of the route takes you to Châteauponsac, nicknamed the Pearl of the Gartempe, before heading for the Monts de Blond, the foothills of the Massif Central, a land of legend with its many megaliths and remarkable villages.
