Created in 2005, the driving forces behind handball Limousin have come together to create a top-level club. CAPO and ASPTT Limoges formed the foundations of HB Limoges. In 2007, the club became Limoges Hand 87, with the ambition of reaching the Nationale 1 in 3 years. This goal was achieved, with LH87 moving up to the Nationale 1 in 2008. In 2015, the young club moved up to PRO D2. In 2020, LH87 became French Proligue Vice-Champion and earned a ticket to the Lidl Starligue.
Record-breaking attendance
In September 2018, 4,200 people gathered in the Beaublanc arena to watch a second division match.
If you want to watch a Limoges Handball match, you can go to the Palais des Sports de Beaublanc, which is where the club plays its home games. Beaublanc is an iconic Limoges venue, which has hosted many important sporting events over the years. The hall can accommodate up to 6,500 people, making it the largest sports hall in the region.
Match shows and concerts at the Zenith
Some LH87 matches take place at the Zénith in Limoges, with a showcase concert following the match.
